Who we are
Spent is made by StudioStudio (Zakary Kinnaird). This policy describes how the Spent app and the website at studiostudio.store handle information.
Summary
Spent is designed to stay on your device. We do not sell your data, show ads, or use analytics SDKs. We do not operate user accounts. The app does not send your personal information to StudioStudio servers.
Information stored on your device
To show your day, year, and life views, the app stores the following locally on your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch:
- Your birth date (year, month, and day)
- Your chosen life expectancy
- Whether you have completed onboarding
This information is saved in on-device storage and shared only within Spent’s app group so the main app, home screen widgets, and Apple Watch complications can stay in sync. It is used solely to run the app.
Country reference
During onboarding, Spent may show reference life-expectancy figures for your country. By default, this uses the region set in your device’s iOS Settings.
Optionally, you can tap Use location for country. If you do, iOS may ask for permission to use your location while the app is in use. Spent requests approximate location (about three kilometres) only to detect your country — not a precise position. Location coordinates are not stored. Only the resulting country is used in the app session to refine the reference shown to you.
PDF export and sharing
Spent can generate PDF files on your device from your stored settings. If you choose to share a PDF, you do so through the standard iOS share sheet. Where the file goes — Messages, Mail, Files, or elsewhere — is entirely your choice. StudioStudio does not receive a copy.
What we do not collect
Spent does not require you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, or contact details through the app. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking tools. We do not sync your Spent data to iCloud or other cloud services operated by StudioStudio.
Purchases made through the App Store, device backups, and other services provided by Apple are handled under Apple’s own policies.
This website
The marketing site at studiostudio.store does not use analytics or advertising trackers. It may store a single session value in your browser so the navigation intro animation plays only once per visit. That value is not sent to us.
Children’s privacy
Spent is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
You can change your birth date and life expectancy at any time in the app’s settings. You can deny or revoke location permission in iOS Settings → Spent. Deleting the app removes its local data from your device, subject to how iOS handles app removal and backups.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes that affect the app may also be noted in an App Store update.
